Владимир Кабо пять лет провел в сталинских лагерях (с 1949 по 1954). Ближе к концу жизни он попытался сравнить кастовую структуру тюрьмы с жизнью замкнутых сообществ охотников собирателей (см. Во многих замкнутых сообществах формируются свои социальные нормы. Нормы современного тюремного мира России известны под аббревиатурой «А.У.Е.». По своей сути они являются продолжением многолетних тюремных традиций. Ниже — мнение одного из наших авторов об этой системе, получающей сегодня распространение не только в тюрьме, но и на воле.
А.У.Е. — расшифровывается как «арестантско-уркаганское единство» или как «арестантский уклад един». А.У.Е. — это одно из первых, что я услышал от других арестантов, первый раз оказавшись в тюрьме. «А.У.Е. Жизнь ворам, смерть — мусорам» было поцарапано на штукатурке в прогулочном дворике. В одну из длинных тюремных ночей давно сидевший арестант несколько часов подряд рассказывал мне об А.У.Е. и особенностях жизни на централе. Как говорят в тюрьме — «доводил». По прошествии достаточного количества времени, у меня сформировалось свое собственное мнение о том, что такое А.У.Е. в тюрьме и зачем оно нужно.
Возможно, многим не понравится мое мнение, но я считаю, что принципы А.У.Е. в тюрьме нужны. Я не говорю про волю — про подростков, которые копируют что-то, услышав где-то об этом. Скажу также, что я обычный человек, я не живу и никогда не жил криминалом, но так жизнь сложилась, что пришлось посидеть в тюрьме некоторое время.
Преимущества
Первая положительная сторона. Они помогают арестантам сохранять свою идентичность и не прогибаться под карательную систему. Тюремно-лагерная система не является исправительной в России. Она является карательной.
Вторая положительная сторона. Эти принципы «пропагандируются» как всеобщие, касающиеся всех арестантов — той части, которая не сотрудничает с администрацией. «Я сам по себе», «меня это не касается», «я другой веры» — иногда по глупости своей может заявить вновь прибывший арестант. А.У.Е. вас совсем не обязывает вставать на путь криминала, как кто-то может подумать. От обычного арестанта они требуют одного простого понимания: рядом с тобой такой же арестант как и ты — не поддержишь его, не поддержат тебя.
Третья положительная сторона. Для тюремного мира это полезно с точки зрения коммуникации. С помощью ее можно узнать почти любую информацию про любого арестанта, пусть даже он сидит на севере в далеком лагере: что за арестант, по какой статье судился, есть ли за ним какие-то косяки и т.д. Связь в этой коммуникации работает именно благодаря иерархической системе: вор, смотрящий, положенец, людская масса.
Недостатки
Но есть и недостатки. Причем не в самим принципах, а в том, как они применяются на практике. Администрация тюрьмы время от времени пытается вмешиваться в отношения арестантов и манипулировать ими. Возможен сговор между давно сидящими арестантами с целью надавить на другого арестанта. Арестантские принципы в таком случаи будут служить как инструмент манипуляции, а ни как средство сплочения.
Другой недостаток. Некоторые арестанты готовы «играть в А.У.Е.» пока это безопасно, например, в СИЗО на территории крупного мегаполиса, где ОНК приходят раз в неделю. Они будут цепляться по мелочам ко вновь прибывшим, наставлять их, но по-настоящему идейных приверженцев А.У.Е. не много.
Если с кого-то вымогают деньги, ссылаясь на принципы А.У.Е., говорят что-то вроде «удели на общее», знайте, что уделяют на общее по возможности. У вас нет возможности уделить на общее: вы в тюрьме, семья без кормильца на воле, нужно платить адвокату и тд. На вас могут давить, смотрящий может подзывать среди ночи к нелегальному телефону, который есть в хате, и какие-то люди будут вам объяснять, что вы должны дать денег. Такое часто случается особенно с теми, кто привлекается по «экономическим» статьям. Говорите, «нет возможности» и стойте на своем. Никакие принципы вам не помогут сами по себе. Вы должны последовательно и спокойно отстаивать свою точку зрения.
Некоторые выводы
Я бы не стал оценивать эти принципы с точки зрения идеологии. Кто-то возможно, заявил бы, что эти принципы «анархические», другой бы сказал, что они «авторитарные», потому что иерархические. Но смотреть на это нужно по другому. Это стихийно сложившаяся система социальных взаимоотношений. Она ни плохая и ни хорошая, она полезная — в данной конкретной ситуации.
Общение в тюрьме — это тонкая психология, принципы А.У.Е. вплетены в это общение. Очень многое зависит от психологии, от ситуации, от конкретного человека. Также спокойнее общайтесь с подростками. У малолеток часто все это представляется в гипертрофированном виде, то есть когда какой-то один момент необоснованно выпячивается, не учитывая другие моменты.
